250 ml sparkling water
150 g sugar
the peel of an unwaxed lemon
the peel of an unwaxed orange
300 g Schär Mix Pâtisserie
1 tbsp guar gum
1 sachet baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 tbsp cacao
100 g ground walnuts

To get started with this gluten free and vegan walnut dessert, you’ll need the following ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine the oil, sparkling water and sugar, then grate the lemon and orange. Sift the flour, guar gum, baking powder and salt.

It’s totally fine if the mixture is more liquid than the one in the picture. Pour half of it in a baking tin lined with baking paper. Preheat the oven to 180° C.

Sift the cacao over the other half and incorporate using a spatula. Combine the 2 mixtures and sprinkle the ground walnuts over them.

Bake for 40 minutes, then cut it into 9 squares and enjoy this simple walnut dessert.
